I've created this website as somewhere to keep the photos and video memories of what was an awesome trip. We booked this quite by chance last year (2016) when we popped down to our local Sainsburys for a coffee. (Yeah, I know, we're sad that we go there for coffee but it was Easter!) And, the place was heaving. My partner, Joanna, told me to go find a table whilst she queued for the coffees. I searched and found a table for two hidden away near the back and grabbed it. There was a paper on the table and we never buy newspapers, preferring to get our news online (or via Facebook) and whilst waiting for Jo, I idly flicked through the pages. In the centre was a four-page pullout about Cunard Cruises on the three Queens: Mary, Victoria and Elizabeth.
One in particular caught my eye. It was a seven day trip to India, the Golden Triangle of Dehli, Jaipur and Agra followed by 21 days on the QM2. The price was £2199 pp which seemed incredibly low for such a trip so as soon as Jo arrived with the coffees I pushed it under her nose.
We had discussed going to India and also doing a cruise at some point, so this seemed the perfect fit for us. We both agreed it was worth booking so we rushed home and I called Cunard.
The lady at Cunard said NO! She didn't know anything about this trip. Panicking, I told Jo to rush down to the newsagents and buy the paper. She came back with the last one. Turned out, the whole advertisement was placed by a company called Imagine Cruising.
We called them and YES, it was definitely right and the price was £2199.
We booked it and then began the year long wait!
All I can say in hindsight is that it was the BEST DECISION about a holiday we have ever made!
Read on to see why!
